Child Development and Education Center

The Mt. San Jacinto College Child Development and Education Center (CDEC) is located on the San Jacinto Campus. The CDEC serves as a lab program for MSJC and the Teacher Education & Developmental Studies (TEDS) program. The CDEC provides high quality child care for the children of MSJC students and the community by offering a welcoming, nurturing, safe, and educational environment.  Our MSJC students are our first priority!  We are committed to your success!  It is our privilege and responsibility to serve and support you in reaching your educational goals and in improving your life and community. 

The CDEC provides an education and care program for children ages 18 months through 5 years of age.  Enrollment applications are accepted without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, ethnicity, or national origin.  The center is open when the college is in session (fall and spring terms) from 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.  We offer several enrollment options based on family income and need: 

  • Free California State Preschool/Pre-K Program 

  • Subsidized Child Care:  Full-time/Part-time 

  • Children of CalWORKs Student
