Welding Technology Certificate

The Welding Technology Certificate offers comprehensive training for students pursuing various welding disciplines. Students gain hands-on experience in welding labs, learn safety protocols following ANSI standards, and study welding theory, codes, and metallurgy. The certificate covers techniques such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). Successful completion can lead to structural welding certifications from the American Welding Society (AWS), enhancing employment opportunities in the welding industry. In the final semester, students will complete a general work experience course designed to apply their acquired skills in a real-world setting. This capstone experience allows students to gain invaluable work-based learning, strengthening their professional readiness as they transition into the workforce.
