Aviation Science, A.S.

This is an Associate of Science Degree in Aviation Science program. The program’s goal is to prepare students for a career as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). The program’s objectives are to prepare each student to meet the Federal Aviation Authority’s (FAA) requirements for the aeronautical knowledge for a Certified Flight Instructor. In addition to the completion of 6 core AVIA courses, students must also complete all MSJC General Education Option A requirements for a total of 60 units to earn the Associate of Science degree in Aviation Science.

An Associate Degree in this program requires students to complete MSJC's local General Education, Option A, by fulfilling all general education areas. In addition, students must complete all major requirements and complete an overall total of 60 degree applicable units with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
